Under the supervision of the Family Bridge Program Director, works independently in this role to support program needs and the administration and implementation of the Family Bridge program. Works collaboratively with internal and external key stakeholders in a matrixed environment to support the overall program and will report the progress of projects and initiatives to Family Bridge, State and Bridgeport Hospital leadership. An ideal candidate must be able to see the big picture of the organization and understand changes in healthcare to assist with moving the organization forward toward targeted goals and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Supports Family Bridge program
    • 1.1 Serves as the key contact for the Family Bridge program at Bridgeport Hospital in regard to program administration.
  • 2. Program Development and implementation of Family Bridge Program
    • 2.1 Supports recruiting of new staff members to Family Bridge Program.
  • 3. Program Liaison
    • 3.1 Serves as representative of the Family Bridge Program at meetings and conferences as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in psychology, business, healthcare management, sociology, public health, or related field required.

EXPERIENCE

Four (4) - six (6) years experience working in a healthcare or customer service-related capacity (patient navigation, care coordination, free care programs, human services organization etc.) with related experience and must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, work independently and in a team environment.

LICENSURE

None required

SPECIAL SKILLS

Proficient in Microsoft Office, ability to learn new software as needed. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
