SUMMARY:

The Manager of Children's Outpatient Services (CAFOS) is responsible for the operational, administrative, and clinical management of Child and Family Outpatient Behavioral Health services. Working in close partnership with and reporting directly to the Clinical Site Director, this role comanages CAFOS, supporting the delivery of highquality, accessible, and compliant outpatient behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and their families.

The Manager provides daytoday operational leadership, staff supervision, and clinical oversight, while supporting program development, regulatory compliance, performance management, and continuous quality improvement. This position includes parttime clinical and clinical supervision responsibilities, integrated with administrative leadership duties.

Program Operations

Working in partnership with the Clinical Site Director, the Manager will:

  • Comanage daytoday CAFOS operations, including intake, assessment, treatment planning, service delivery, care coordination, and discharge workflows.
  • Ensure timely and compliant completion of required screenings, assessments, and documentation in accordance with certification, licensing, and payer requirements.
  • Support the implementation of evidencebased and bestpractice outpatient treatment approaches.
  • Assist in the development, refinement, and evaluation of outpatient programs in response to client, family, and community needs.
  • Oversee discharges and transitions of care to ensure continuity and appropriate followup services.

Staff Supervision & Leadership

  • Comanages CAFOS in partnership with the Clinical Site Director.
  • Provides administrative and clinical supervision to CAFOS clinicians, CCBHC schoolbased clinicians, and case worker/managers, as assigned.
  • Hires, orients, trains, and supports staff in collaboration with the Clinical Site Director and Human Resources.
  • Conducts performance monitoring, annual evaluations, and competency assessments.
  • Facilitates staff meetings, conferences, and professional development activities.
  • Ensures compliance with productivity expectations, documentation standards, and datacollection requirements.

Clinical Responsibilities

Maintain parttime clinical responsibilities to support service delivery, clinical quality, staff development, and regulatory compliance within Child and Family Outpatient Services. Clinical duties are integrated with leadership responsibilities and are proportional to the administrative scope of the role.

  • Provide direct clinical services as assigned, which may include individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy and mental health evaluations, consistent with licensure, clinical privileges, and program needs.
  • Participate in treatment planning and clinical case consultation as part of a multidisciplinary team, in collaboration with the Clinical Site Director.
  • Support the implementation and execution of treatment plans as clinically appropriate, modeling highquality clinical practice.
  • Complete all required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with agency policies, licensing standards, and payer requirements.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and families/guardians regarding diagnoses, treatment interventions, and recommendations as clinically indicated.
  • Participate in clinical case management and care coordination to support continuity of care with internal teams and communitybased providers.
  • Attend and contribute to clinical meetings, including team meetings, case conferences, and inservice trainings.
  • Demonstrate conduct consistent with professional codes of ethics, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.

Clinical Supervision

As part of the Manager's clinical role, the position includes assigned clinical supervision and consultation responsibilities, delivered in collaboration with the Clinical Site Director, to support quality care, staff development, and professional compliance.

  • Provide clinical supervision addressing clinical assessment, treatment planning, evidencebased interventions, risk assessment and safety planning, ethical practice, and professional development to licensed and unlicensed outpatient clinicians, including therapists, schoolbased clinicians, and case worker/managers, as assigned.
  • Ensure supervision meets licensing board, Medicaid, and organizational requirements, including frequency, content, and required documentation.
  • Review and provide feedback on clinical documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Provide case consultation and clinical guidance on complex cases, urgent situations, and systemlevel care coordination challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Site Director and senior leadership to identify clinical performance concerns and support improvement plans when needed.

Clinical supervision responsibilities are proportional to the Manager's administrative role and parttime clinical allocation and do not constitute a full individual clinical or supervisory caseload.

Compliance & Quality Oversight

  • Monitors compliance with organizational policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews case records for quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Ensures adherence to client rights, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable regulations, payer requirements, and internal policies

Administrative & Financial Responsibilities

* Completes payroll, benefit time, and other supervisory administrative approvals.

* Monitors departmental performance relative to operational goals.

* Participates in program planning, budgeting input, and qualityimprovement initiatives.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Master's degree in Social Work

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Practitioner meeting Medicaid and contractual

requirements.

Clinically privileged to perform the duties associated with this role.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in outpatient behavioral health or human services.

Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and staff leadership.

Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.

Pay Range:

$71,136.00-$117,353.60
