The Registered Nurse Supervisor at the Department of Human Services offers a chance to guide meaningful care at Selinsgrove Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role focuses on supervising nursing services and ensuring safe, effective care for individuals at Selinsgrove Center. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

  • Care Oversight: Coordinate and evaluate nursing services to support the health needs of assigned individuals
  • Staff Guidance: Direct staff in daily health and treatment activities
  • Regulation Compliance: Ensure all nursing services follow required laws, standards, and policies
  • Training Support: Assist with staff education and the implementation of health practices and procedures
  • Health Monitoring: Review clinical information and apply it to support safe and effective care

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.
  • Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, works every other weekend, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime as needed
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.

Special Requirements:

  • All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
