Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Project Policy Analyst will support the execution and delivery of the IIFH Non-Profit Partner Program. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality implementation of partner-supported programming, including scientific coordination, reporting, and cross-organizational collaboration. Under minimal supervision, this position manages complex programmatic activities including grant-related coordination, content development, stakeholder engagement, and execution of partner-aligned initiatives. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in agricultural science, food science, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder programs in academic, nonprofit, or research environments.
- Experience managing high-value relationships with nonprofit or large organizations, including the tracking of complex deliverables.
- Project management skills to develop and manage timelines, evaluate and direct projects, handle multiple competing priorities, monitor ongoing strategic initiatives and track progress and manage tight timelines with attention to details.
- Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; tact and political acumen to effectively communicate professional correspondence, sponsor communications and other materials.
- Thorough research, analytical and critical thinking skills, including sound judgment and decision-making skills and skill to correctly identify real and potential problems, advising management as required, proposing effective strategic resolutions.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and database software programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. or master's degree is preferred
- Experience supporting grant-funded initiatives, cross-institutional collaboration, and scientific program execution is highly preferred.
- Ability to take loose concepts or technical scientific data and structure them into polished, persuasive written narratives.
- Skills to transform concepts into program ideas, plans and activities.
- Deep understanding of how major Nonprofits operate, including their grant cycles, reporting requirements, and internal decision-making processes.
- Familiarity with the complexity of university research environments and the ability to partner with diverse academic stakeholders.
- Experience with GANNT, RACI and PERT charts highly preferred.
