The Sr. Sourcing Manager drives sourcing operations that build strategic supplier partnerships focused on cost, reliability, and risk management. Leads negotiations and contracting using structured processes, while partnering cross-functionally to define material, quality, and service requirements.

Manages supplier performance through KPIs and scorecards, identifies and qualifies new sources, and leverages market intelligence to anticipate pricing and supply trends. Optimizes processes, controls costs, and drives efficiencies through ERP systems and analytics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Category Leadership



  • Own category performance across cost, service, quality, and risk
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies across hard parts, vehicle systems, eCommerce, and batteries
  • Drive TCO through supplier optimization, consolidation, and should-cost analysis
  • Monitor market dynamics and adjust strategies proactively


Supplier & Commercial Management



  • Lead sourcing, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Build strategic supplier partnerships and manage performance (OTIF, quality, cost)
  • Mitigate risk through dual sourcing and continuity planning


Planning & Inventory Oversight



  • Oversee forecasting, MRP, and replenishment across manufacturing, projects, and eCommerce
  • Balance service levels, inventory investment, and supply risk
  • Support escalation on shortages and critical delays


Team Leadership



  • Lead and develop buyers/planners
  • Drive accountability, execution discipline, and capability building


Cross-Functional Partnership



  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Field Services, eCommerce, and Finance
  • Support product launches and commercial initiatives


Business Impact



  • Own multi-million-dollar spend and deliver cost and margin improvements
  • Improve inventory turns, working capital, and supplier performance
  • Ensure alignment across contracts, pricing, and ERP


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of sourcing/procurement experience, including 1-3 years in leadership
  • Experience managing complex, multi-channel categories (industrial, project-based, or high-SKU/eCommerce)
  • Strong track record in supplier negotiations, cost modeling, and risk management
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel/analytics (BI tools a plus)
  • Solid understanding of logistics, fulfillment, and landed cost

      • Proven experience managing complex, multi-channel categories, including:

        • Battery or regulated product categories.

      Environmental demands: This job operates in a professional office environment as well as remote. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous material when in our warehouse facilities.

      The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $118,505 and $150,949 annually. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:



      1. Experience and qualifications: The depth of relevant experience and specific skills you bring to the position.
      2. Education and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
      3. Market and industry benchmarks: We compare compensation packages with industry standards to ensure we are competitive.
