Position Summary

Month-end accounting duties including journal voucher completion, account reconciliation, variance analysis, reports/statement preparation.
Standard cost development, monthly variance application calculation.

Responsibilities

Work closely with I/T Department for implementation of new system enhancements.
Direct interaction with supervisors/managers in annual budgeting/planning process.
Responsible for inventory control for plant(s) using work orders and repetitive shop floor controls. Take lead in coordinating annual physical
inventory. Reconciles book to physical differences
Develop and maintain written procedures/work-instructions for division cost accounting duties.
Maintains standard costs for all part numbers. Develops and enters standard costs for new or redesigned parts or Engineering Changes Notices
(ECNs).
Develops and maintains ongoing audits of standard costs, work centers, and routing codes. Reviews new routings to ensure correct structure to
be costed.
Reviews "frozen" standard cost files for updates to support LIFO. Manages and communicates updates as dictated by cost changes.
Performs monthly closing activities. Analyzes manufacturing variances. Produces financial schedules.
Works on special projects. Prepares audit schedules, corporate requests, margin review, etc.
Participates in quote review process.
Assists in preparation of departmental budgets and forecasting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting.
2-5 years division accounting experience.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong personal computer skills with Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $87050 to $145250 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
