As a Detail Inspector, you'll conduct inspections of aircraft parts to assess serviceability and document findings. You'll also support production by contributing to process improvements and maintaining accurate records and system updates.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct visual inspections of aircraft parts and determine their scrap or serviceable status.
  • Input inspection information accurately into the system.
  • Ensure products are clean and in acceptable condition for inspections.
  • Determine repairability of products not meeting requirements.
  • Record inspection results and generate cost estimates and repair documentation.
  • Inspect and identify parts in the Reduced to Spares (RTS) process.
  • Supervise detail inspection trainees in the on-the-job training (OJT) process.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes.
  • Cross-train in complementary skills and support production requirements.
  • Move between production assignments requiring multiple skills.
  • Observe safety requirements and report unsafe practices or conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Regularly required to sit for up to 50% of shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous inspection experience preferred.
  • Experience in an aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul facility preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in technical writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
