Essential Duties and Responsibilities Harvard, Crystal Lake, Walworth
- Reviews work orders and preventive maintenance tasks to determine work priorities.
- Schedules repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment by self-performance and delegation of work assignments.
- Directs maintenance activities on biomedical equipment to provide the highest standards for safety, quality, and availability of medical equipment.
- Manages CMMS database.
- Coordinates special projects.
- Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations. Directs training of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with Mercyhealth policies and procedures.
- Confers with Leadership, customers and quality assurance staff to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of work performance and equipment.
- Assists Manager in preparation of department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
- The Supervisor is the department representative and liaison with internal customers.
Education and Experience Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering/Electronics or related or related Military equivalent certifications required. Three or more years of experience in BioMedical Engineering and a supervisory role in a healthcare setting. Certification and Licensure For those driving Mercyhealth vehicles: Maintain a valid driver's license. Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.
For those driving their personal vehicles: Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of vehicle insurance when requested. Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of test equipment and procedures. Good interpersonal/communication skills. Good interpretive/analytical skills. Familiarity with CMMS, word processing, Excel and Access. Budget/Financial skills. Generating reports, cost analysis, proposals, and evaluations. PAY RANGE:
$35.14 - $52.72
