| Job Duties |
The College of Education seeks a full-time (12-month, Stated Definite Term) Director of Administrative Services to provide leadership, vision, and oversight for administrative support operations within the College of Education. This position is responsible for providing direct supervision of administrative staff assigned to support academic departments, ensuring alignment with college-wide standards and practices, ensuring consistent, high-quality service across departments, and advancing strategic planning initiatives to improve administrative efficiency and effectiveness. The Director will play a key role in developing systems, practices, and standard operating procedures that enhance operational excellence, foster collaboration, and support the College's mission.
Leadership & Supervision (25%)
- Provide direct supervision, guidance, and evaluation of college-level administrative staff serving academic departments and other units within the college, to promote efficient administrative operations.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that prioritizes service, accountability, and professional development.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to departmental administrative staff in alignment with college-wide practices.
Strategic Planning & Operations (25%)
- Develop a comprehensive administrative services strategy aligned with the College of Education's mission and strategic goals.
- Lead strategic planning for administrative operations across the College to align with institutional goals.
- Develop and implement streamlined processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Monitor and assess administrative workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Coordinate with academic departments, offices, and leadership to ensure cohesive administrative services.
Administrative Systems & Policy Implementation (25%)
- Establish and maintain standardized practices for event management, travel, purchasing, scheduling, facilities and space coordination, and other administrative functions.
- Create and implement standard operating procedures for college-wide records management, entry, retrieval, and privacy.
- Develop and manage procedures to ensure compliance with university policies and state regulations.
- Track and evaluate administrative metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Communication (25%)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative support services within the College.
- Communicate clearly with faculty, staff, and leadership regarding processes, timelines, and expectations.
- Partner with the Office of the Dean, Business Services, Personnel Services, and other units to coordinate services and maintain consistency.

High school diploma or equivalency and two years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience, including some experience as a lead worker; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
