Overview ABOUT THE POSITION Director of Transit & Rail Engineering | Metro DC VHB's Metro DC operations is seeking a Director of Transit & Rail Engineering to work in our rapidly growing Metro DC market from either our Tysons, Virginia or Washington, DC office locations. This role will manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers in the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of rail and transit infrastructure projects, including conceptual, preliminary, and final design involving light rail transit, bus rapid transit, commuter rail, intercity passenger rail, and freight rail improvements. In this role, you would join a group delivering some of the most transformative transit and railroad projects across the region while overseeing project delivery and supporting business development. Project delivery services will include leading complex transit and railroad projects from the early planning phase through construction and implementation. The business development efforts will include client management and maintenance, identifying new opportunities, and supporting major project pursuits. Typical projects involve commuter rail, light rail transit, heavy rail, bus and bus rapid transit, intercity passenger rail, and freight rail services. Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements
The base salary range for this position is $176,000 - $230,000 for the Washington, DC location. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
