hr.uark.edu Summary of Job Duties:The Communications Coordinator will support the Director of Administrative Communications in full-service communications support for the Office of Human Resources, Equal Opportunity, Compliance, and Title IX, and the Division of Finance and Administration. The position will be tailored to focus on one or more areas of concentration based off the student's long-term professional interests. Prior experience is not necessary but is a plus. The areas of work include:

Web Content Management and Development

- Update content across the Human Resources (hr.uark.edu) and OEOC (oeoc.uark.edu) websites to ensure accuracy, consistency, brand and web accessibility standards.
- Support larger website content projects including full redesigns, new section build outs, and web accessibility.
- Oversee the HR and OEOC campus calendars and submissions.
- Develop SharePoint sites that connect to external web properties.

Internal Communications
- Write, revise, and edit Arkansas News stories to support the promotion of recurring employee communication campaigns (onboarding, open enrollment, mandatory training, etc...).
- Assist in the release of HR updates to the Office of Human Resources, unit level HR coordinators, and other relevant stakeholders through Microsoft Teams, List-Serv, Outlook, etc...
- Develop email communications using tools like Mailchimp or Constant Contact for ad hoc messaging to targeted employee groups.
- Maintain the Office of Human Resources List-Serv list.

Recruitment Marketing
- Support the growth of @UARKJobs accounts on Facebook & Instagram through content creation, social media monitoring, and partnerships.
- Build marketing collateral (copy, graphics, webpages, etc...) to support hard to fill staff and faculty roles with the Talent Acquisition team.
- Coordinate content across owned digital properties (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, jobs.uark.edu, indeed, etc...).

Support Creative Development
- Draft, design, and revise digital and print graphics (flyers, brochures, publications, digital displays, and presentations).
- Animate static graphics, or create motion graphics, for use in multiple mediums (presentations, digital displays, video)
- Photograph and/or film content for social media, websites, presentations, and events as needed.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current University of Arkansas Student

  • Available to work up to 20 hours per week

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related degree program

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess strong attention to detail

  • Excellent writtencommunication skills

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to be dependable and punctual

  • Ability to work independently or cross-functionally under deadlines

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
