MaineHealth is currently recruiting for a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator at MidCoast Senior Health Center in Brunswick, Maine. This is a well-established, 100-bed facility offering a full continuum of care, including skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, and residential care.

Summary:

The Administrator of Mid Coast Senior Health provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care services. In partnership with the Senior Director of Post Acute Operations, this role is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives, driving growth through marketing efforts, and ensuring the highest standards of quality care and customer experience across all senior living services.

The Administrator leads and supports staff, serves as a trusted resource for residents and families, and acts as a key liaison to community partners and contracted agencies. This role ensures full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing facilities, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care communities.

As a vital member of the MaineHealth Post Acute Division leadership team, the Administrator also oversees financial performance, supports public relations efforts, and works to achieve organizational goals while maintaining a resident-centered approach to care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Masters Degree in health related field.
  2. License/Certifications: Maine license as a Multi-Level Administrator required.
  3. Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare management
  4. Affiliation with Professional Associations recommended - Maine Health Care Association, LeadingAge, American College of Health Care Administrators, Pioneer Network, and Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes.
  5. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, employees, customers and/or boards of directors.
  6. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  7. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
