JOB SUMMARY:



A Communications Coordinator is responsible for managing the organization's social media accounts by creating, scheduling, and publishing content across social platforms. The role involves monitoring trends, analyzing campaign performance, and interacting with the audience to support the organization's online presence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Functions:




  • Prepare and schedule posts (video, text, image) for the organization's social media accounts.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies, including creative campaigns and collaborations.
  • Maintain and optimize ongoing campaigns, including Community Involvement, Employee Spotlight, and Division News/Improvements, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide support and attend sponsored industry events in collaboration with the Public Relations Manager and other relevant team members, actively fostering relationships and enhancing the organization's visibility.
  • Monitor performance metrics, such as likes, shares, and engagement, and compile quarterly reports.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to direct questions, and communicate with users as needed.
  • Stay current with updates across social media platforms and industry trends by continually researching new developments, audience preferences, and innovative techniques to ensure all content remains relevant, engaging, and attention-catching.
  • Adhere to the organization's communication style and visual presentation.



QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience managing professional social media accounts.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Insights).
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design, photography, videography, and video editing. Skilled in using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) and browser-based platforms such as Canva for content creation.
  • Strong, creative writing abilities; excellent organizational skills; ability to work under deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and ensure deliverables are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Mature judgment and excellent follow through in all areas of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated planning and project management capabilities that will drive strong short- and long-term execution.
  • Ability to relate to the public and create/deliver effective presentations.
  • Ability to create and project a positive image to the general and professional community.
  • Ability to work as an integral team member combining the strengths and abilities of a group to successfully accomplish corporate goals.

Environmental Conditions:



This position works in an office environment with an occasional visit to a worksite. There is generally no exposure to hostile environments or loud noises or hazardous chemicals or smoke or extreme temperatures.



During work-site visits will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow applicable safety rules and regulations.
