About the Position The Jack H. Miller Magnetoencephalography (MEG) Lab is a dynamic multimodal brain mapping innovation center providing advanced neurodiagnostic services. The MEG technologist is a key personnel position that supports and coordinates clinical and research psychophysical studies using MEG, TMS, as well as other modalities such as intracranial EEG for various neurological diseases. The main patient populations are epilepsy and brain tumors, but the incumbent may perform assessments in the study of stroke, neurorehabilitation, and movement disorders as well as in healthy research populations. Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Opening in downtown Grand Rapids in January 2011, Helen DeVos is a 14-floor building dedicated to pediatric facility. The iconic blue building is a landmark of the "Medical Mile". Scope of work The MEG Technologist performs magnetoencephalography, electro neurodiagnostic, and physiologic procedures, analysis of data from these procedures, and technical documentation for use in the diagnosis of brain disorders.
