Duties include: Basic prep & order fulfillment Preparing food items used in the Skyroom or the Marketplace and Catering. Peeling onions, carrots, washing and cutting fruits and vegetables Cutting and trimming meats, chicken, beef, pork and fish Cooking meats, sauces, starches, and vegetables Keep the work station clean and sanitized Help other areas during busy times Other duties assigned by the chef Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Food Handler's Permit is required within the first 30 days of employment. Preferred Qualifications 3 Years Experience in professional kitchen environment. Knowledge of the care and use of food service equipment and kitchen utensils. Knowledge of health hazards in food preparation, service and necessary precautionary measures. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. This position requires nearly continuous standing, repetitive hand motions, reaching overhead, and the use of utensils and equipment relating to food service operations. Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, sharp and hot objects, and/or loud noises.
