Title: Instructional Designer, Training Curriculum Dev Location: Candidates who currently reside in the Bay Area / local to the Oakland General Office. Duration: 9+ Months Key Responsibilities
Design and develop eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led training solutions for technical, compliance, systems, or soft skills content using established instructional design methodologies.
Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content, define learning objectives, course structure, learning materials, and assessments.
Conduct detailed task analysis to identify target audience needs, business processes, and systems requirements.
Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop storyboards, eLearning modules, virtual learning materials, student and facilitator guides, activities, scenarios, assessments, and performance support tools.
Develop instructional graphics, scenarios, and interactive components.
Write clear and effective instructional text, audio scripts, and video scripts tailored to the target audience.
Participate in meetings with subject matter experts, including task analysis sessions, alpha reviews, beta reviews, and validation meetings.
Incorporate SME feedback and ensure content accuracy.
Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines while proactively communicating risks or issues.
Required Skills
3+ years of experience developing eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led training
Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, PowerPoint, and Word
Ability to manage multiple development efforts simultaneously
Desired Skills
Experience with training development applications such as Oracle UPK, SAP Enable Now, or QuestionMark
Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
