SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the Company's day-to-day accounting and reporting functions including the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process to support the preparation of monthly management reports and the Company's required 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings.
  • Prepare and/or review monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with preparation of management reporting package.
  • Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with peers within the Company as well as Accounting, to ensure processes are created and performed efficiently and accurately.
  • Interface with external auditors with respect to the Company's financial statements.
  • Assist with certain accounting and internal control functions as needed.
  • Other accounting and special projects as requested.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES

  • 5+years of accounting experience.
  • Big 4 accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge
  • Experience with SAP S4/RISE is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior management.
  • Required/preferred education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • CPA in good standing preferred.

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.

* The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
* Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
* Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
