Job Description Summary

The Quality Lead is responsible for supporting and executing the organization's quality initiatives to ensure products are processes meet established standards and customer requirements. This role provides day-to-day guidance to the production team, drives continuous improvement efforts, and acts as a key liaison between production and quality functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  2. Lead daily quality activities on the production floor and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  3. Assist with internal and external audits and follow-up on corrective actions.
  4. Monitor quality metrics and report on performance trends.
  5. Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  6. Work closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to resolve quality issues.
  7. Provide training and guidance to team members on quality procedures and best practices.
  8. Conduct inspections and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
  9. Support supplier quality activities as needed.
  10. Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
  11. Perform ISO Readiness audits and assist in the ISO certification process

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001). Experience with quality tools (root cause analysis, corrective actions, basic Lean/Six Sigma) Strong problem solving and organizational skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret general business documents in English.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for periods of time. Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions. Exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment.
