Starting Wage: $22.75 Position: 1st shift -Prep/Assembly 2nd shift- Lamination Position Summary: This position is responsible for producing high-quality fiberglass parts using an open mold process. We provide hands-on training to learn how to be successful in this role What You Will Do:
- Hand lay-up of fiberglass material into the mold
- Utilize rollers to work the sprayed resin into the material, thoroughly wetting the material and removing entrapped air and smoothing out any wrinkles
- Able to wear a respirator
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to reach and bend consistently
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. regularly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload
- Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment
- Ability to work in harmony with others while maintaining a positive and professional attitude with overall success in mind
- Evidence of a satisfactory work record, including performance, attendance, and teamwork
Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with POSITION SUMMARY: The Composite Operator plays a crucial role in the production process, focusing on the fabrication and assembly of composite materials to ensure high-quality products. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Prepare molds and materials for composite production.
- Utilize hand lay-up and resin infusion techniques during the manufacturing process.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and quality standards throughout all processes.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals.
- Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Document production activities and any discrepancies for quality assurance.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and training as required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Prior experience in composite manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong understanding of composite materials and related techniques.

- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality output.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
