Starting Wage: $22.75 Position: 1st shift -Prep/Assembly 2nd shift- Lamination Position Summary: This position is responsible for producing high-quality fiberglass parts using an open mold process. We provide hands-on training to learn how to be successful in this role What You Will Do: Hand lay-up of fiberglass material into the mold Utilize rollers to work the sprayed resin into the material, thoroughly wetting the material and removing entrapped air and smoothing out any wrinkles Able to wear a respirator Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time Must be able to reach and bend consistently Must be able to lift 35 lbs. regularly Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment Strong problem-solving abilities, including troubleshooting and resolving issues Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential Ability to organize and prioritize workload Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment Ability to work in harmony with others while maintaining a positive and professional attitude with overall success in mind Evidence of a satisfactory work record, including performance, attendance, and teamwork Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with POSITION SUMMARY: The Composite Operator plays a crucial role in the production process, focusing on the fabrication and assembly of composite materials to ensure high-quality products. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Prepare molds and materials for composite production. Utilize hand lay-up and resin infusion techniques during the manufacturing process. Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications. Follow safety protocols and quality standards throughout all processes. Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals. Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs as needed. Document production activities and any discrepancies for quality assurance. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and training as required. Perform other tasks as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in composite manufacturing is preferred. Strong understanding of composite materials and related techniques. Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality output. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
