Responsibilities

Are you passionate about digital storytelling, design, and content strategy? Join our fast-paced Marketing & Communications team to gain hands-on experience managing social media for five distinct brands and their lines of business.

As the Social Media Intern, you'll work closely with the Corporate Social Media Manager to support day-to-day content development, community engagement, and performance reporting. This internship is ideal for a student aspiring to build a career in social media marketing and learning out to navigate social media within regulated industries.

You'll gain real-world experience creating social media content, collaborating on campaigns from concept to execution, and understanding the guidelines that shape creative work in a regulated industry.

  • Design branded social media graphics using Canva and/or Adobe Express.
  • Write engaging, audience-specific captions for B2B (LinkedIn) and B2C platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
  • Draft and submit content through our corporate compliance workflow for review and approval.
  • Edit and produce short-form videos and Reels, including employee interviews, behind-the-scenes clips, and educational features.
  • Conduct brief employee interviews for use in culture content and spotlight features.
  • Assist with scheduling and content management using Hootsuite and/or Meta Business Suite.
  • Collaborate with our PR agency and internal teams during weekly marketing planning sessions.
  • Create and analyze performance reports to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
  • Actively contribute creative ideas during weekly team meetings and brainstorms.
  • Track content deadlines and project progress in monday.com (experience preferred, not required).
  • Support internal and external communications/PR initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner

Qualifications

Education, Training, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience using Canva and/or Adobe Express.
  • Familiarity with Hootsuite or other social media management platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with monday.com is a plus.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for design and detail.
  • Comfortable on camera and confident interacting with employees at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in financial services-or curiosity to learn more about the industry.
