Position Title: Senior Commercial Loan Processor Position Summary: The Senior Commercial Loan Processor works independently and is responsible for processing complex to advanced loans. Responsible for collecting and validating all documentation, ensuring effective operations while adhering to regulatory compliance guidelines as defined by commercial loan standards. Acts as a role model for the Commercial Loan Processors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for processing complex commercial conventional, construction-to-perm, participation loans, and government guarantee loans. Performs peer review of loan files prior to hand off for closing and funding. Assumes periodic responsibility in the closing and funding of complex loan files at peak times, including preparing attorney closing instructions, reviewing loan documents, closing statements, and due diligence items. Assumes periodic responsibility in the boarding of complex loan files, including onboarding borrowers, guarantors, loans, escrow accounts, collateral and fees on the core loan system in accordance with the credit agreement. Ensures the credit union's lien is perfected on related collateral. Manages and reviews loan pipeline daily. Acts as a liaison and maintains communication between the Commercial Loan Officer and all parties relevant to the loan (borrower, underwriting, appraisal, environmental, etc.). Maintains daily communication with all parties that are relevant to the loan. Obtains all documentation required to complete the commercial loan transaction within required timelines. Reviews and evaluates purchase contracts, appraisals, and title documents according to policy and guidelines. Confirms all information on loan application, coordinates with the underwriter and document preparation firm, confirms anticipated closing date and prepares loan file for closing process. Monitors and keeps current with NCUA, TCUD, Small Business Administration (SBA), and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) rules and regulations. Assists management with compiling and producing periodic reporting Takes accountability and creates ways to provide a best-in-class member experience.
