A&P Mechanic
Location:Fort Lauderdale, FL Job ID: #72344 Pay Range: $32-37 Primary responsibilities: * Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes and engines in accordance with FAA 145 requirements * Perform major sheet metal repairs and fabricate sheet metal and composite parts when needed. * Perform additional tasks such as installing kits and assisting with fly-offs. * Ensure all work is performed in accordance with all instructions, regulatory requirements, and company policies * Properly document all work performed * Other duties as assigned Minimum qualifications: * FAA A&P Certificate * 3+ years of experience with commercial turbine helicopter maintenance, preferably in a part 145 environment * Basic computer skills * High school degree or GED * Technical expertise * Ability to prioritize work, and to exercise strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies * Demonstrated self-motivation, strong sense of responsibly, and multi-tasking skills * Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions closely, good organization skills * Ability to successfully collaborate and coordinate with others Physical requirements * Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands. * Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift. * Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools. * Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks. * Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects. * Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues. * Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
