That's where you come in. We're looking for a full time web content strategist to guide the creation of content that is useful, accessible, engaging, and meets clients business goals. You would join our digital experience team for a six-month engagement and work on website projects in a variety of industries.

This is a temporary full time, hybrid role, requiring at least two days per week on site at Reingold's headquarters in Alexandria, VA.

Here's the work you'll do:

Essential Functions:
  • Execute content strategy work across all stages of a project, from discovery to post-launch. These activities could include:
    • Conducting user and stakeholder interviews, content-focused usability testing, and competitive analyses.
    • Complete content audits that involve understanding existing content sources and defining content gaps.
    • Review web analytics and other inputs to identify needed content improvements.
    • Create content strategy deliverables, such as content outlines, gap analyses, and governance documentation that provide a basis for web content development.
    • Planning site migrations, ensure site design and features work with real content, help with the content entry process, and train client authors when needed.
  • Plan and lead workshops to define and prioritize web content needs.
  • Help manage content development, maintenance, and optimization processes.
  • Complete content modeling and taxonomy design activities.
  • Be an advocate for plain language that helps guide users to what they need.
  • Outline web pages and work closely with writers by lending a hand in the writing process when needed.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a client-facing, cross-functional team, and mentor junior team members as needed.

This role is a good fit for someone with these qualifications, experience and skills:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least six years' working experience, ideally in web content strategy or its relateddisciplines, like content design. If your experience is in a different field, but you canexplain how your skills can transfer to web content strategy, please apply and tell us about your experience.
  • Familiarity with writing for the web, UX design, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Demonstrated strength in problem-solving and effective decision making.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently, managing complex andsimultaneous projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly convey information to uppermanagement and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with tools like Content Workflow, Miro, and Airtable are a plus
Supervisory Responsibilities:This position will not have direct reports but will be expected to mentor junior teammates and to lead by example and influence.

Work environment and physical requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
