Job Summary:
Serve as a Teaching Specialist in the Department of Chemistry for General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. Chem 103 - General Chemistry I Duties are similar to those of a teaching assistant and include the following:
There is a possibility this position could be extended in subsequent semesters to teach one or more of the courses listed on this job posting or similar courses within the department. This position can be part-time or full-time, between 50-100% depending on the number of courses taught. Key Job Responsibilities:
Department of Chemistry Compensation:The minimum salary for this position is $50,000 per academic (9-month) year, full time (100%). The actual salary will be based on experience and qualifications. The salary for this Summer term appointment will be prorated based on appointment percentage and duration. Required Qualifications:Have completed advanced college chemistry courses. Preferred Qualifications:Experience teaching courses at the college level. Education:Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field required.
