General Job Description Position Overview As a Single-Family Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of residential electrical services in Savannah, Georgia. This role is responsible for leading a team of electricians, coordinating projects, and ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. You will provide technical guidance, manage resources, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of residential electricians to ensure high performance and productivity Project Management: Plan, organize, and oversee residential electrical projects from start to finish, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management Quality Assurance: Ensure all electrical work meets quality standards, codes, and regulations; conduct inspections and provide feedback Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive customer experience Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and technical expertise to resolve complex electrical issues Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; conduct regular safety meetings Inventory Management: Manage materials, tools, and equipment; track usage and maintain inventory records Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and support training initiatives for team members Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and performance Documentation: Maintain accurate records including work orders, permits, and invoices Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 4-6 Specific Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred 5+ years of residential electrical experience, including new construction 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in single-family projects Valid Georgia electrical license required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required Strong knowledge of NEC, local codes, and residential electrical systems Ability to read blueprints and use electrical tools and testing equipment Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and project management skills Knowledge of OSHA safety standards with a strong commitment to safety and quality Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Must pass drug screening and background check Work Environment Work performed on active residential construction sites and occupied homes Frequent travel to job sites within the designated region Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain Work may involve heights, ladders, and confined spaces Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods Comfortable working at heights and on ladders Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday License Required Yes Job Locations US-GA-Savannah Company Overview IES Residential, Inc. is one of the nation's largest and most respected electrical, plumbing, HVAC, solar, and cable solutions providers for single-family homes and multi-family complexes since 1973.
