General Job Description We are hiring a skilled and dependable EPA Certified Residential HVAC Technician to join our team in the North Houston / Conroe area! If you're customer-focused, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in quality craftsmanship, we want you on our team. You'll work in a variety of residential environments installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems with an emphasis on excellent service and long-term customer relationships. Primary Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems, including: Central A/C units Heat pumps Furnaces Ductless systems Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity Troubleshoot and diagnose heating and cooling issues quickly and accurately Communicate repair options and pricing clearly to homeowners before work begins Educate customers on system usage, filter changes, and basic maintenance Ensure all work complies with: Local building codes Safety standards EPA 608 regulations Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, materials used, and time on-site Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 4-6 Specific Qualifications What We're Looking For Minimum of 4 years of hands-on residential HVAC experience (must-have) High school diploma or GED required EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal preferred) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong customer service and communication skills Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and mobile work order systems Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor conditions Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and kneel/stand for extended periods Must be able to read, write, and speak English Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when needed Comfortable kneeling, standing, and working on your feet for extended periods Ability to work in tight spaces (attics, crawlspaces, closets, etc.) Must be able to work outdoors in Texas heat and changing weather conditions Work Environment This position involves working in a variety of residential settings including: Attics and crawlspaces Rooftops and outdoor condenser areas Hot, humid, dusty, or confined spaces Customer homes requiring professionalism, cleanliness, and respect License Required Yes Job Locations US-TX-Conroe Company Overview IES Residential, Inc. is one of the nation's largest and most respected electrical, plumbing, HVAC, solar, and cable solutions providers for single-family homes and multi-family complexes since 1973.
