The IT Governance Business Systems Analyst supports enterprise IT governance by translating governance standards, portfolio priorities, and risk requirements into actionable analysis, documentation, and reporting. This role partners closely with IT Governance leadership to enable effective decision making across technology spend, project portfolios, risk management, change control, and incident management. The analyst serves as a key connector between business stakeholders, IT delivery teams, and governance bodies-ensuring data accuracy, process adherence, and transparency across the IT operating model. Your Role & Responsibilities IT Governance & Portfolio Support * Support IT governance processes by preparing analysis, documentation, and materials for portfolio, investment, and governance reviews * Maintain accurate views of the IT project and program portfolio, including scope, status, dependencies, and risks * Assist with intake, prioritization, and tracking of new IT initiatives to ensure alignment with governance standards and strategic priorities Financial & Asset Governance Analysis * Analyze IT spend, usage, and trends across software, services, and projects to support governance decisions * Support software asset management activities, including license usage analysis, entitlement tracking, and renewal preparation * Assist in maintaining governance tools and data sources (e.g., Zylo) to ensure accurate, reliable reporting IT Risk, DR/BC & Compliance Support * Support IT risk management activities by documenting risks, mitigation plans, and governance actions * Assist in maintaining inventories of business-critical systems and their recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) * Support disaster recovery and business continuity governance through documentation, reporting, and test tracking Change Management & Change Control Support * Support IT change management and change control processes by preparing change documentation, impact analysis, and governance artifacts * Assist with Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Emergency CAB (ECAB) preparation, including agendas, change summaries, and post implementation review documentation * Track change outcomes and metrics to support continuous improvement of change governance Incident Management & Operational Reporting * Support incident management governance by tracking incidents, major incidents, and post incident reviews * Assist in documenting incident timelines, impact analysis, communications summaries, and lessons learned * Maintain incident related metrics and dashboards to support executive reporting and trend analysis Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement * Document IT governance processes, standards, and workflows to support consistency and audit readiness * Identify data quality gaps, process inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities within governance workflows * Support tooling improvements and adoption (e.g., ServiceNow, portfolio dashboards, reporting tools) Preferred Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience * 3-6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, IT Business Analyst, or similar role * Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills * Experience working within structured IT processes (portfolio management, change management, incident management, or risk governance) * Familiarity with IT governance, risk management, or portfolio management concepts * Experience supporting Change Advisory Boards (CAB) or major incident processes * Experience with ITSM or governance tooling (e.g., ServiceNow, portfolio dashboards, asset management platforms) * Exposure to disaster recovery or business continuity documentation and testing Competencies (Skills & Knowledge You'll Bring) * Business systems analysis and requirements documentation * IT governance process understanding and support * Portfolio, program, and initiative tracking and analysis * Data analysis, reporting, and dashboard support * IT financial, SaaS, and asset governance analysis * Risk, compliance, and control documentation * Change management and change control (CAB/ECAB) support * Incident and major incident reporting and analysis * Process mapping, documentation, and standardization * Attention to data quality, accuracy, and audit readiness * Stakeholder collaboration and crossfunctional communication * Problemsolving and continuous improvement mindset The anticipated annual base salary for this position in the US is $80,000- $90,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
