Hourly Pay Range:

$38.67 - $59.94 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Audiologist
  • Location: Northbrook, IL
  • Full Time: 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM

A Brief Overview:
As an Audiologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing hearing and balance disorders in our patients. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality care and patient satisfaction.

What you will do:

  • Conducting comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance testing, otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing, and auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing to assess and diagnose hearing and balance disorders.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, which may include hearing aid fittings, cochlear implant evaluations, balance therapy, and counseling to address patient needs.
  • Educating patients and their families on hearing loss prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and the proper use and care of hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and recommendations in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborating with ENT and other physicians, nurses, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with hearing and balance disorders.
  • Providing hearing aid adjustments and cleanings as requested.
  • Staying informed about advances in audiology research, technology, and treatment modalities to provide the best possible care to patients.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, including licensure requirements and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines

What you will need:

  • Doctoral Degree in Audiology, or Master's Degree in Audiology if degree obtained prior to January 1, 2008
  • Documented proof of passing the PRAXIS examination upon position start date if current IL State Audiology license is not held. If an IL State Audiology License is not obtained within 60 days of position start date, employee will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination. And
  • Experience with fitting of programmable and digital hearing aids
  • Good communication skills
  • Current IL State Audiology License, or IL State Audiology License obtained within 60 days of position start date if a recent graduate of an Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation-approved audiology program. Required And
  • Cochlear implant / osseo-integrated device experience is a plus

  • BLS - Basic Life Support (CPR) - American Heart Association (AHA) Current BLS Certification within 30 days of position start date. Required And
  • Certified Audiologist (CCC-A) - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required. Required
