The Sales Support Specialist serves as an integral collaborative partner for Account Managers in the provision of solutions in welding products as well as industrial and specialty gases. This role partners with customers on tools, hardware, materials, and procedures. In collaboration with an Account Manager, the Sales Support Specialist develops quotes, navigates pricing inquiries, nurtures relationships with customers, and facilitates sales activities to help advance overall territory sales.

  • Build Lasting Connections: Create a positive atmosphere by engaging authentically with customers, vendors, and branch personnel to support mutual business growth.

  • Partner for Success: Work in collaboration with Account Managers to welcome new customers and identify market opportunities for our gas and product supply agreements.

  • Guide Strategic Solutions: Develop quotes, guide pricing strategies, and process orders to ensure our customers receive the best possible support for their operations.

  • Meaningfully Address Customer Needs: Courteously navigate inquiries regarding billing and order status, providing thoughtful follow-up to ensure total satisfaction.

  • Leverage Modern Tools: Use Salesforce daily to maintain an accurate and helpful record of customer interactions, contributing to a clear and organized sales analysis.

  • Cultivate Your Expertise: Continuously advance your professional skills and product expertise to remain a trusted contributor to the Airgas NorPac team.

________________________ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; ideally, you bring a Bachelor's degree or a combination of three years of related experience and education that has prepared you for this role.

  • We value experience in industrial outside sales (approximately three years is a great benchmark).

  • Ideally, you have some familiarity with compressed gases or welding knowledge.

  • We encourage candidates with customer service or sales experience in the local market to apply.

  • You should have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and an appropriate level of auto insurance coverage.

  • Commitment to operating within a drug-free workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • We look for teammates with reliable transportation who can work flexible hours to support team goals and management expectations.

  • You are comfortable navigating digital tools, including Google systems and CRM platforms (specifically Salesforce.com).

  • We value the ability to share insights and present information clearly in front of a group.

  • Possess effective and empathetic communication skills to connect with a diverse group of associates, management, regulatory agencies, and members of the community.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
