We are seeking a Principal Lab Technician for our Chemically Enhanced Oil Recovery (CEOR) Technology team located in Sugar Land, Texas to support both business and customer needs for the. The Principal Lab Technician will be responsible for performing routine testing and maintaining various testing equipment. The ideal candidate is versatile, communicates effectively, and thrives in a collaborative environment. What You Will Do:

  • Perform work in a safe manner while identifying opportunities for improving safety.

  • Maintain a clean laboratory environment.

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and perform light repairs on CEOR lab equipment.

  • Follow and perform routine test method procedures to support the CEOR team on field recommendations and product qualifications.

  • Work effectively in a team environment with cross-functional members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 4 years as a laboratory technician or closely related experience.

  • An associate degree or course work in a related field (e.g. lab technician programs, college coursework in science, technology, engineering or mathematics) may substitute for some experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional mechanical skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
