Position Highlights

The Department of Russian & Slavic Studies is seeking a short-term summer session teaching position from 6/8/26- 7/9/26 for RSSS 150B1. The Summer Session Instructor position is part-time, non-tenure eligible, non-benefits eligible and will provide instruction in the subject area of Russian & Slavic culture.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach RSSS 150 B1 (East European
    Cinema).
  • Hold office hours.
  • Plan class lectures and
    assignments.
  • Grade papers and exams.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's
    degree in Russian & Slavic Studies or related field of study.
  • Experience
    teaching college-level courses.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence of college (online or face-to-face) teaching experience in Russian & Slavic Studies.
  • Digital Learning Platform experience (Vista, Cengage, Pearson, etc.).
  • Learning Management System experience (Bright Space/D2L, Canvas, Blackboard, etc.).
  • Completion of a Quality Matters workshop (online program).
  • History of professional development activities for online teaching and/or course design.
