Piping Designer

Job Title: Piping Designer (Contract)

Location: Billings, MT

Duration: 1-Year Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $62.00/hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Piping Designer to support engineering and design teams with technical drawing updates, document control, and drafting support in an industrial environment. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in refining, petrochemical, or industrial drafting who thrive in both office and field settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update and revise AutoCAD drawings using redlines from Design Technicians
• Incorporate changes from Management of Change (MOC) documentation
• Provide drafting and design support to the engineering team
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical design documentation
• Perform field walkdowns to verify drawings and conditions as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards, methods, and best practices
• Experience working in industrial, refinery, or petrochemical environments preferred
• Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with SAP or Falcon is a plus
