What You'll Do:
  • Develop and deliver training programs on IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-J-STD-001) for new and existing employees.
  • Create and update training materials to reflect the latest industry standards and best practices.
  • Assess trainees' skills and knowledge through practical and theoretical evaluations.
  • Provide constructive feedback and additional training as needed to ensure competency.
  • Document all training sessions, attendance, and certification statuses.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and IPC standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest IPC standards and industry best practices.
  • Implement improvements to the training program based on feedback and technological advancements.
  • Train employees in precise hand soldering techniques and cable assembly processes.
  • Ensure solder joints and cable assemblies meet IPC standards and company quality requirements.
  • Emphasize the importance of quality control and adherence to safety protocols in all training sessions.
  • Promote the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices.
  • Collect and analyze test/defect data and identify root causes.
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines to find root cause for systemic failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead/support in-depth investigations of quality issues (Non-Conformances, Process Problems, RCCA's, Audit Observations, etc.) ensuring effective corrective/preventive actions occur.
  • Facilitate quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects/quality related issues and make recommendations to improve the production process based on findings from quality analysis.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • IPC certification (CIT/CIS) in relevant standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-J-STD-001).
  • 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, with a focus on hand soldering, cable building, and IPC standards.
  • 3+ years of experience using various measuring tools (i.e. calipers, multimeters, thread gauges, profilometers, etc.).
What Sets You Apart:
  • Associate Degree in Electronics.
  • Technical certification.
  • ISO9001 or AS9100 auditor cert.
  • Familiarity with the MRB Process and working in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment while maintaining professional Quality separation.
  • Knowledge of RCCA processes and methodology.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IPC standards and electronics manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate trainees' skills and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using training aids and materials, including multimedia tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office and related suite of software programs.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics manufacturing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
