Job Description:

Perkins Coie is searching for a Client Administrative Specialist who will primarily provide administrative and workflow support for client specific projects submitted by the client matter team. This position may become dedicated to a specific client(s) but is considered a member of the Business Services Center (BSC).

In addition, as a member of the Perkins Coie professional support staff team, this position is also responsible for promoting and maintaining the goodwill and reputation of the firm. In this capacity, the Client Administrative Specialist is expected to maintain the highest level of professional conduct and confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.

  • Provide triage support for various legal matters, enter information into legal process tracker, and route to appropriate teams for assignment.

  • Monitor complaint updates for upcoming deadlines and provide weekly status reports to client/matter attorneys.

  • Monitor legal matter submissions through to completion and provide status updates during internal client team meetings.

  • Collaborate with Legal Project Management on client facing projects.

  • Provide guidance and support to attorneys and legal support staff on matter management software and other operational tools.

  • Effectively use firm operational tools including: Outlook, WebEx, iManage, PC Engage and ServiceNow (workflow tool) -- according to established protocols. Adhere to best practices for completing tasks, which may include enhanced utilization of firm software.

  • Responsible for learning client specific technology

  • Capture project time and data as required to produce operational reports and metrics.

  • Ability to adapt and work as part of a centrally managed team.

  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects efficiently and simultaneously.

  • High attention to detail, ability to think critically, and operate in a professional manner in order to deliver exceptional client service.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to express oneself effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and with interest/aptitude in using/learning additional applications such as Big Hand Create, DocXTools, and Adobe Pro.

  • Familiarity with legal terminology and development of legal documentation.

  • Ability to work effectively in teams and independently, with direction provided to complete complex tasks.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.

  • Strong problem-solving capability and resiliency.

  • Customer-centric orientation, comfort with systems and process, ability to handle change in a positive manner, and comfort in taking direction and work assignments from peers.

  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to exercise judgment and work independently.

  • Must have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and be highly organized.

  • Litigation experience preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • One-three years of administrative or law firm experience preferred.

This position may be filled in the following location(s).The listed compensation range reflects the typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range.Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.

San Francisco Bay Area compensation range:$70,160to $101,300annually

Colorado compensation range: $54,970to $79,370 annually

Illinois compensation range: $58,010 to $83,760 annually

Los Angeles compensation range: $64,010to $92,430annually

San Diego compensation range: $63,200 to $91,250 annually

New York compensation range: $63,780 to $92,090 annually

Washingtonstate compensation range: $57,980 to $83,720 annually

Washington,D.C.,compensation range: $62,620 to $90,420 annually
