Total Rewards & Employee Relations Specialist, People Operations The People Operaiions (PO) Total Rewards & Employee Relations Specialist supports the administration and design of HR processes that cultivate a pay for performance culture. The PO Total Rewards Specialist assists in the design and continued iteration of those processes that fall within our Performance Enablement Ecosystem including but not limited to goal setting, performance evaluations and feedback systems, employee relations/team member care and compensation management. This position also supports the administration and design of our benefits processes for staff and leadership. The Impact You Will Create: The PO Total Rewards Specialist will have a fundamental understanding of HR best practices, competencies, and legal requirements and will use practical application of this knowledge to enhance the Fearless' team member experience by:
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successions completion of various HR projects and processes that are aligned with business objectives related to compensation, benefits, and performance. Consulting with leaders at all levels regarding team member performance, compensation, or other areas of concerns and providing HR guidance that both mitigates risks and supports team member experience. - Leading benefit compliance, open enrollment and renewal efforts to influence decisions regarding benefit improvements.
Your Responsibilities in This Role:
- Provides project management and execution support for the design, rollout, and sustainment of compensation and performance enablement processes including review feedback cycles, merit increase changes, and rewards and recognition.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of training for managers specific to HR processes and systems. Creates training artifacts including job aides, guides, and other supplemental documentation.
- Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
- Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
- Administer various employee benefits programs, including but not limited to our group health, flexible/health spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), spot awards, and wellness benefits.
- In partnership with the HR Director, resolves complex employee relations issues.
- Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements.
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrators. Follow up on claims.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Prior knowledge and Experience in related Human Resources processes, platforms, or strategies.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of employment law and implications to business processes.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with organizational stakeholders in evaluating business challenges and identifying opportunities for the design, implementation and evaluation of change initiatives, and to build ongoing support for HR solutions that meet the changing needs of customers and the business.
Workplace Knowledge Domain
- Prior experience in Paylocity.
- Expertise with HR at a technology or growing organization
- Experience in a government contracting environment
- Knowledge and application of all relevant laws and regulations in the United States relating to employment-provisions that set the parameters and limitations for each HR functional area and for organizations overall.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings.
- Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings.
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills.
- Ability to move within an office environment, including reaching for files, using office equipment, and occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds).
