Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility As Vice President within Commodities and Global Markets Group, develop fundamental data analytics solutions for North American power and gas traders and analysts, including designing, building, and deploying data analytics platforms that support the decision-making processes of traders and analysts operating in North American power and gas markets. Specific duties include collaborating closely with business stakeholders to identify key challenges, data requirements, and performance metrics, ensuring that the solutions delivered are both technically robust and aligned with commercial objectives; developing machine learning solar and wind generation power forecasting models, gas pipeline flow models, and price forecasting models; applying advanced machine learning techniques to create predictive models for renewable energy generation, such as solar and wind power; and developing models to forecast gas pipeline flows and energy prices, leveraging large datasets, statistical analysis, and domain expertise to improve forecast accuracy and reliability, including continuously refining and validating these models to adapt to changing market conditions and new data sources. What you offer Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility Doctorate degree in Atmospheric Science or Meteorology plus 5 years of experience in job offered or 5 years of experience developing fundamental analytics solutions (models, forecasts, and visualizations) Prior experience must include 5 years designing, building, and refining quantitative data models that support trading and analysis activities of NAPG traders and analysts, including developing machine learning and statistical models for forecasting renewable generation (solar and wind), gas pipeline flows, and market prices 5 years generating and maintaining short-term and long-term forecasts, including running simulations, back testing models, and updating forecasts as new data becomes available 5 years creating interactive dashboards and visualization tools that present model outputs and forecasts. Salary range for this position: $160,000 - $180,000/Year. Within this salary range the base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
