The Opportunity:
Dive into the forefront of transformative energy and technology markets as asenior Market Research Analyst supporting the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) in advancing game-changing energy innovations. In this role, you will provide strategic market insights that shape program development, commercialization strategies, and broader technology adoption. By analyzing market dynamics, supply chains, and competitive landscapes, you will help identify opportunities and address barriers to scaling innovative energy solutions, enabling their real-world impact.

You will collaborate with technical teams to align economic and market data with science and technology goals, ensuring informed decision-making. Your work will involve researching energy markets, developing comprehensive Market Maps that chart supply chain structures and key players, and identifying gaps or bottlenecks that could impede promising technologies.

Additionally, you will support ARPA-E leadership by summarizing research findings and preparing actionable reports and presentations, helping advance the mission of accelerating the deployment of next-generation energy technologies.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in market research, energy consulting, or business strategy within energy or technology sectors

  • Experience in market research, economics, or business analysis in energy or technology industries

  • Experience analyzing supply chains and competitive landscapes, including creating Market Maps that identify structures, stakeholders, gaps, and opportunities

  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, including conducting stakeholder interviews, expert outreach, literature reviews, and synthesizing insights from multiple data sources

  • Ability to manage projects, handle client interactions, and coordinate deliverables in a stakeholder-oriented environment

  • Ability to obtain and maintain aPublic Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM, Economics, or Business field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with energy policy, regulatory frameworks, and commercialization pathways

  • Experience using energysectorspecific tools and data sources, including EIA API and EIA Open Data tools, BloombergNEF (BNEF), S&P Global Platts, Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables, patent search platforms such as USPTO and Patentscope, and competitive landscape tools such as PitchBook

  • Experience preparing high-quality written reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience with scenario modeling tools such as Excel-based Monte Carlo tools or Python, including simulations or stochastic analysis

  • Knowledge of market barriers, pricing trends, and adoption dynamics for advanced energy and technology solutions

  • Master's degree in a STEM, Economics, or Business field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
