The Sr Software Engineer must be AI Builder who can contribute to the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of machine learning models and AI-powered systems for consumer-facing platforms, under the guidance of senior engineers.

If you live near Basking Ridge, NJ, you will enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid-remote position* as you take on some tough challenges.

This position follows a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain NodeJS & Java application within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

  • Communicate effectively with other engineers and all stakeholders

  • Ability to proficiently resolve technical issues through debugging

  • Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize the applications

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and software development practices

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of AI

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or IT related field

  • 6+ years of experience with applying object-oriented principles and recommended design patterns to create robust and scalable system designs

  • 5+ years of experience with developing the applications on NodeJS & Java platform (Spring Boot, REST Web Services, XML, Multi-threading, GraphQL)

  • 4+ years of experience with being proactive in identifying and escalating potential risks and impediments and coming up with alternative solutions

  • 4+ years of experience/knowledge on Docker

  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud based technologies such as AWS

  • 3+ years of experience with Micro-service Architecture

  • 3+ years of expertise with Junit or any other test framework

  • 3+ years of experience and understanding of Development processes and tools - Sonar, Jenkins, GitHub, CI/CD

  • 2+ years of experience working with MySQL or any other similar Database including writing complex join queries and SQL query tuning

  • 2+ years of experience with JMS messaging using any one platform MQ /Kafka streaming

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in teams following Agile development methodologies

  • Fundamental knowledge of algorithms and data structures

  • Provenability to define and drive improvements in the overall quality including automation, code coverage etc.

  • Provenability to do POC on emerging tech stack

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
