Are you a detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced financial environment? We're looking for a Senior Commercial Loan Operations Specialist to play a key role in supporting and servicing our commercial lending portfolio. This position blends precision, collaboration, and problem-solving, perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Location/Schedule:



  • Hybrid schedule with up to 3 days/week at our corporate office in Lake Forest, IL.
  • Local Northern IL/Southeast WI candidates only!


What You'll Do:



  • Process & prepare loan documentation for new and renewed commercial loans with precision and compliance in mind
  • Review loan terms and details (rates, collateral, covenants, guarantees) to ensure everything is accurate and aligned
  • Coordinate loan closings and fundings, partnering with loan officers and settlement agents
  • Build and maintain complete loan files, ensuring all documentation is current and audit-ready
  • Onboard loans into core systems and manage documentation across platforms
  • Track and resolve exceptions, ensuring collateral and documentation requirements are met
  • Handle loan servicing tasks, including payments, payoffs, reversals, and ACH transactions
  • Support reporting and audits, including Board and compliance reports
  • Stay current on regulatory requirements to maintain portfolio quality
  • Collaborate across departments and contribute to team training and special projects
  • Serve as a trusted resource by responding to member inquiries with professionalism and care


What You Bring:



  • High School Diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience in commercial loan documentation
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to navigate multiple systems
  • LaserPro experience is a must!
  • Experience with platforms like nCino, DNA, Nautilus, DocuSign, or Adobe Sign is a plus!
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities
  • Clear and professional communication skills


Compensation:

The annual salary range for this role is $55,867 to $83,801. This role is eligible for an annual bonus opportunity. A specific salary offer considers factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
