Your Mission

As our National Account Director, you will lead the development and growth of National Tank & Equipment's most strategic national and regional customer relationships. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen NTE's position as a preferred pump and specialty rental partner by developing long-term customer relationships, supporting strategic account growth, securing commercial agreements, and driving sustainable revenue growth across key industrial markets.


Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Leadership

  • Develop and execute enterprise account strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, customer retention, and market expansion.
  • Provide executive-level ownership of NTE's most significant national and strategic customer relationships.
  • Coordinate account strategies across multiple branches, regions, and markets to ensure alignment and consistent customer support.
  • Utilize CRM tools, market intelligence, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize account performance.
  • Anticipate evolving customer needs and position NTE as a trusted long-term business partner.


Commercial & Contract Management

  • Lead negotiations for Master Service Agreements (MSAs), enterprise contracts, pricing structures, and long-term commercial agreements.
  • Manage complex contractual commitments while balancing customer expectations and business objectives.
  • Develop commercial strategies that support sustainable growth and profitable account expansion.
  • Partner with legal, finance, and operational teams to ensure successful execution of contractual obligations.


Customer Partnership Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement teams, operations leaders, project stakeholders, and executive decision-makers.
  • Establish strategic partnerships that enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term growth.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by identifying customer challenges and delivering tailored rental solutions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with key customer stakeholders.


Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a business partner to Operations, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Branch leadership teams.
  • Lead through influence to drive accountability, responsiveness, and customer-focused decision-making.
  • Foster collaboration across the organization to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer experience.
  • Support strategic initiatives that strengthen NTE's national account program and market position.


To Succeed, You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline; MBA a plus!
  • Minimum of 7years' experience managing large national or multi-location accounts within commercial pump rental equipment sectors or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and RentalMan systems is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience with pumps and fluid management, frac tanks and temporary storage, and other specialty rental solutions.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation, commercial structuring, and strategic account growth.
  • Strong financial literacy coupled with strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the capacity to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to undertake extensive domestic and occasional international travel.

Job Location This position may be based in Texas, Pennsylvania, or within a reasonable commuting distance (approximately four hours or less) of key customer accounts. Regular travel will be required to support customer engagement, business development activities, and strategic account management initiatives. The National Account Director will report directly to the Vice President of Sales.
