Department: MED-Medical Social Sciences
Salary/Grade: NEX/9

Target hiring range for this position will be between $17,05-$21.31 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Job Summary:

Highly role collaborative on a multi-disciplinary team that conducts community-based patient centered outcomes research. Performs social-behavioral research by administering surveys and interviews following protocols; collecting, compiling, tabulating &/or processing responses; gathering information; &/or assisting in the preparation of material for inclusion in reports. Completes all activities by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all relevant current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).

Specific Responsibilities:

Technical

  • Recruits study participants.
  • Reviews & obtains informed consent.
  • Conducts interviews.
  • Collects survey data.

Administration

  • Maintains detailed records of results which may include collecting, extracting & entering data; &/or preparing basic charts & graphs.
  • Performs scientific literature searches in support of research.

Finance

  • May process reimbursements for travel expenses.
  • Processes invoices &/or purchase requisitions.

Miscellaneous

Performed other duties

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)

  • Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
  • Must complete NU's IRB CITI training before interacting with any participants & must re-certify every 3 years.

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)

  • Experience with research recruitment and interviewing
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to self-manage daily priorities and adhere to deadlines

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)

  • Ability to conduct interview and recruitment calls in English and Spanish
