IT Security Specialist

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist - Cloud Architecture for a 12+ month contract position located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ
.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage infrastructure solution for Cloud infrastructure utilizing both On Prem (Private) and Off Prem (Public) infrastructure
• Partner with internal Architecture team to define design pattern to meet Active/Active resiliency
• Data definition and solutioning for ingress and egress
• Develop deployment solution for CI/CD (primary CD)
• Design for multiple regions and availability zones
• Partner with internal teams to setup appropriate access groups and restrictions
• Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met
• Monitor and assist with Performance tuning
• Partner with Engineering, developers, and stakeholders to align strategies to modernization of stack

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in design and engineering solutions for large business capabilities
• Expert experience and knowledge in design and engineering of applications hosted at external cloud such as Azure and AWS
• Effective Communication - Clear, Concise and the ability to articulate ideas
• Experience in Application Lifecycle Management Automation tools and integration using one or more of the following tools: Ansible by Red Hat, Jenkins or XLR
• Working knowledge/expertise with JIRA, NEXUS and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
• Exposure and familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies (Agile)
• Flexible to work in different shifts, including rotational night shift and weekend support
• Computer networking skills and working knowledge: Load balancers, firewall, etc
• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication, Information Technology or equivalent education
• Understanding/experience with web application communication protocols - SOAP, HTTP, XML etc
• Working knowledge of application setup, support, and configuration
• DevOps (Terraform, Infrastructure as Code) experience
• API design experience

Desired skills:

• AWS certification
• Azure certification
• Google certification
• Expertise in Payment and Merchant Services capabilities
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Multiple years of demonstrated experience in Systems Administration or Systems Engineering
• 2+ years in a technical position using Cloud technologies
• Knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL databases
• Linux (RHEL, CentOS) experience
• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux, with demonstrated hands-on experience on one or more of the following domains: Azure Core Platform: Compute, Storage, Networking
• Experience with monitoring, alerting and logging tools, and build/release processes

Pay range: $65.90 - $73.90 per hour
