Kennedy Jenks is seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven Civil Engineer focused on water and wastewater projects in Texas. This role supports conveyance facilities, utility infrastructure, and treatment process improvement projects that strengthen essential water systems and improve outcomes for the communities we serve.


This is an opportunity to contribute to civil design and project delivery in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, working with senior engineers, project managers, and technical teams from planning and design through construction support.


You'll help deliver practical, constructible solutions for water and wastewater clients while building technical depth, supporting project execution, and contributing to strong client service.


What You'll Do


As a Civil Engineer, you'll contribute across civil design, technical documentation, project coordination, and construction-phase support.



  • Prepare designs and calculations: Prepare designs, specifications, drawings, and calculations, with support from senior engineers.
  • Support project delivery: Support project management efforts from conception to construction.
  • Coordinate across disciplines: Provide technical expertise to multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Develop technical documentation: Write technical reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Serve a project manager: Lead small projects and attend internal and external meetings as needed.

Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Experience: 6+ years of civil engineering experience required; water and wastewater project experience preferred.
  • Design knowledge: Experience with site design, including layout, grading, drainage, and water/wastewater piping design preferred.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas, or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Software and tools: Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $110,000 to $153,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
