Responsibilities & Expectations: Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Transformer Design Engineer for our Farmington, MN service center. This role is responsible for developing and implementing the design work scope for liquid-filled and dry-type distribution transformers, including special application transformers. This position will also be responsible for developing optimized design solutions and for providing technical support for both internal teams and external stakeholders. * Experience in designing Liquid Filled and Dry Type Distribution Transformers, including special applications transformers, min 5 years * Good knowledge in both electrical and mechanical engineering principles for distribution transformers * Good knowledge in national and international standards, including UL, IEEE, ANSI, DOE * Good knowledge and experience in design optimization principles for distribution transformers * Good knowledge and experience in designing standard as well as special application distribution transformers * Abilities to communicate with Sales and Marketing teams and support pursuing opportunities and contracts * Supporting projects execution, as needed * Abilities to communicate with suppliers, as needed * Team player, * Innovative and creative * Good communication skills * Electrical engineering education preferred Qualifications and Competencies: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred but not required). * Minimum of 5 years of experience in transformer design and repair. * Strong knowledge of industry standards and transformer applications. * Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills. * Innovative and detail-oriented mindset.
