We are seeking a full-time, Board-Certified Medical Physicist at our Upland site. The successful applicant will be part of a growing team of 20+ Medical Physicists across all sites here in Southern California, including Duarte and Irvine. Located at the foot of the majestic San Gabriel Mountains, City of Hope - Upland is aprovider-basedfacility of City of Hope National Medical Center, a general acute care hospital, that expands access to City of Hope's unparalleled cancer care to the local community. The site also offers clinical trials, genetic counseling, radiation oncology as well as specialized care for patients. City of Hope provides ample support and opportunity for our physicists to develop a clinical and research career.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive radiation treatment planning, including dose calculations, plan optimization, and quality assurance, to ensure accurate and effective delivery of patient-specific therapy plans in collaboration with radiation oncologists and clinical staff.

  • Collaborate effectively with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and other clinical staff, demonstrating strong communication skills to ensure seamless coordination of treatment planning, clear documentation, and high-quality patient care across all stages of therapy.

  • Utilize state-of-the-art radiation therapy technologies and advanced medical physics tools to design, implement, and optimize precise, evidence-based cancer treatment solutions, ensuring high standards of safety, accuracy, and clinical effectiveness. Technology includes:

    • Software: ARIA Record and Verify System, Eclipse Treatment Planning System v.15+

    • Hardware: Varian Truebeam v.4.1

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

PhD

24 months clinical work in Radiation Physics or graduation from a CAMPEP program

ABR or ABMP or eligibility plus certification within 2 years of hire

Salary Range: $195,603/yr - $255,257/hr - $314,163/yr/ $94.04/hr - $122.72/hr - $151.04/hr
