As a Security Officer Medical Screening Desk in Walnut Creek, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, support hospital staff and visitors, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and professional communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Monitor entrances, badge access points, and restricted areas to help support authorized entry, verify credentials, and report unusual or suspicious activity through proper channels.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with attention to entry points, waiting areas, parking areas, and other sensitive healthcare spaces.
• Assist with security-related screening processes, direction of foot traffic, and after-hours access requests while following post orders and privacy-aware workplace expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Vaccines are required for this hospital location.
• The ability to restrain individuals is required for this hospital location.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
