Job Description




As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support site procedures that help to reduce security-related incidents. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, managing entry points, and supporting security-related activities at an industrial location.
  • Monitor access control points by checking credentials, authorizing entry and exit, and documenting visitor, vendor, and/or vehicle activity according to post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, site contacts, and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations as assigned, with working conditions that may vary by site.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disruptions by maintaining a visible presence, observing site activity, and reporting concerns in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
