Job Summary


The Receiving Coordinator / Tool Room Attendant is a hands-on warehouse role responsible for supporting inventory accuracy, material flow, and customer pickups within a client site environment. This position combines computer-based receiving and inventory control with physical warehouse tasks and direct customer interaction. The role requires strong attention to detail, consistent work history, and the ability to accurately manage inventory transactions while maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.

Job Responsibilities



  • Receive incoming materials using a computer-based inventory system
  • Verify quantities, product descriptions, and supporting documentation for accuracy
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist customers with pickups by scanning and issuing items from inventory
  • Ensure accurate documentation and provide a professional customer experience
  • Safely unload incoming shipments and stage materials appropriately
  • Stock and organize inventory in designated locations
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory audits
  • Report shortages, damages, and inventory variances in a timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within warehouse and tool room areas
  • Collaborate with team members and site contacts to support daily operations


Job Requirements



  • Minimum 6 months of warehouse receiving experience using a computer-based inventory system
  • Experience with inventory management systems and data entry throughout the workday
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Customer-facing experience in a warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment
  • Demonstrated stable work history with minimal employment gaps
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory processing
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain organized records
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred


Work Experience



  • Prior experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations required
