How you will make history here... Position will be responsible for leading and directing Pilot Plant manufacturing activities. Duties will include, but not limited to: providing a safe work environment; ensuring all production activities meet or exceed regulatory and corporate quality standards; directing the execution of plant trials to meet R&D objectives and expectations including pre-flighting and sanitation efforts and finished product labeling. This individual must be knowledgeable of OSHA, USDA and FDA regulations pertaining to the manufacture of foodstuffs within a R&D Facility and must possess a strategic mindset in keeping the Pilot Plant in-step with demands from multiple business organizations to ensure successful execution. Candidate must be able to communicate and manage expectations up and down the chain of command to effectively utilize plant resources to meet daily objectives. What you will do... 50%- Direct daily manufacturing activities of 3-5 employees ensuring schedules, protocols, and execution in meeting customer requirements. 15%- Support continuous improvement process to identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency of operations. 20%- Direct execution of GMP, pest control, sanitation, and HACCP systems 15% - Support individual development and training of production employees Who you will work with... - Working with the Operations Manager, directs and participates in daily manufacturing trials with an emphasis on cleaning and sanitation activities, finished product labeling, and line prep and pre-flighting activities. - Identify continuous improvement opportunities of plant operations and team culture - Drive executional excellence of R&D Operations team to ensure right first time success and understand and exceed customer expectations - Leverage extensive understanding of FDA, USDA, SQF and Food Quality and Safety programs to ensure delivery of the highest quality food - Contributes to hire/fire decisions, coaching and mentoring, and team growth and development - Review HACCP and other quality programs and documentation for accuracy, content, and comprehensiveness What you bring to the table (must haves)...

Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $76,200-$109,600Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
