Summary

The Customer Sales Executive (CSE) is responsible for profitably growing Hershey's businesses to achieve OKR's and plans, including net sales, market share, trade spend, and sales activity margin within the Seasonal CMG business.

Responsibilities



  • Direct selling responsibility for Seasons CMG business
  • Leverage insights to build a 1 to 3 year business plan and deploy supporting tactics to achieve financial objectives
  • Achieve mutually beneficial joint business plans through skilled negotiation and understanding of the customer's business
  • Lead seasonal/innovation line review process with the customer buying team to negotiate and sell our strategy in support of key innovation and aligned JBP objectives.
  • Achieve net sales, market share, trade spend, and sales activity margin targets for assigned customer by simulating and planning incremental volume and pre and post analysis as well as displaying core competencies and behaviors. This includes judiciously managing and allocating trade funds (maintaining compliance with all Sarbanes Oxley policies) to achieve profitable sales growth.
  • Manage trade fund budget to include clearing deductions and processing invoices.
  • Monitor and control customer expenses to include waste, sell thru, supply chain costs, and unauthorized deductions.
  • Conduct reviews of Seasons sales performance with the Category Management team to understand the results of each season and major promotions vs the metrics and to uncover future business opportunities.
  • Alignment with retail team through participation in retail meetings as well as field visits with appropriate Retail Management.
  • Work collaboratively with Hershey Category Management, Team Lead, Omni Marketing, Shopper Insights, Supply Chain, Customer Planning and other cross functional partners on the account.
  • Effectively utilize Hershey's and customers analytical tools (e.g. PlanEx, Circana, internal customer data, etc.) and processes to drive profitable and predictable sales results.



Experience & Education



  • 3-5 years relevant customer or category experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business/sales/marketing or related experience
  • Experience with excel, planex, circana would all be preferred
